Candice: I just found a rather large fish bone in my tuna. Isn't that gross? I am grossed out for some reason. Sarah: That's disgusting... I got one better. I found the butchers glove in my bacon last night. Candice: What??? Ewwwww! You totally forever win! That is so so SOOO gross! Sarah: I know, right? do i get a prize for the most disgusting story? Candice: ABBsolutely!! seriously that's bothersome. I may never eat bacon again now. Jk but thats pretty dang bad. Are you scared for life? Sarah: No, i still cooked the bacon and ate it. :) We seriously did. hopefully no one gets a life threatening disease. that'd be a terrible prize. Candice: Haha that's funny I hope not though! That would be horrible! Watch for signs though:) The end. I did a special reading of this to my family at the dinner table tonight, Candice. I thought you might like that. really, really wish you were here....and that we were splitting a Chronic Taco. oh and by the way, I to...

Family time....

Playing old school Ninetendo.  We introduced our kids to the wonderful world of Tetris.  I forgot how addicting that game is.  And Trevor kicks butt at it.  I was seriously amazed at his awesomeness. We had a little tournament tonight and much to the other kids dismay, Stephen won. And so got an extra big piece of dessert. But then the kids went to bed and me and Trev had a little bit more. In all fairness, we opted out of the tournament because of our mad skills and so deserved an extra piece. I imagine in no time at all, they will be beating us. That's just the way kids are these days. ********************************* Forgive me for having to add that since I'm on my "30th" day of the month (if you know what I mean), I was a little ornery. My kind husband took the kids out for a bit so I could have a little quiet time and returned home with a Diet Dr. Pepper just for me. I love that man, in case I haven't yet made that point before. That is all.

Spring cleaning and other stuff

Image
That's what I did today. I cleaned out closets and the kitchen and organized a bit and got rid of some stuff. These kind of days always make me feel so good. Especially since last night we went to our storage shed and got out some stuff. Like all of our food storage and summer stuff and my ORANGE COUCH!!! Oh yeah...! I love that couch. It just makes me happy. To you, it may look like an ugly, old lady couch. But it has a lot of memories connected to it and I love it.... *************************** Tonight was Jenee's play and she did awesome! We were so happy to be able to be there to see it. Seriously Jenee, you did great!  **************************** Anyone have any suggestions as to how to get my kids to start talking without an attitude? Is that asking too much? I'm at a loss as to what to do and am starting to wonder if it's just normal and that theres nothing I can do about it....  **************************** I did not exercise today. But I did e...

We celebrate Easter at our house.

Image
Here are just some of the ways we do that: We put bags over our heads.  Trevor gives people rides on his shoulders.  We play UNO. We take silly pictures of each other.  And we don't clean the kitchen.  (don't look at the cute couple in the pic below, instead look in the sink.  See? dirty dishes....) And it was a great Easter.  If I had to pick a favorite Easter celebration, this one would be in my top 11.  We got to spend Saturday eating dinner at Scott and Jenees with her family and we had such a fun time! And Sunday was peaceful and relaxing.  Seriously, even with 4 kids in our little home, it was peaceful. And relaxing.  And if you don't believe me, I'll say it again.  Peaceful and Relaxing.  A really great weekend.

I can't think of a title.

I think Trevor may be getting old. For the only reason that tonight while we were watching "Gullivers Travels" I looked over at him and noticed salsa in his beard and a drip on his shirt. Sometimes, compared to him I feel like a bit of a slob. And so it's little things like salsa dripping down his chin that make me love him even more. ************************* Since Trevor was out of town this week, I didn't get the exercise I needed but I did do yoga two other times this week so I haven't been a complete failure. But I've failed with being accountable to my blog for it.  Oh well.  Here's hoping that I do better next week.

I am so going to hear it when he gets home.

and by "he" I mean  HIM: I promised him that when we moved into this house, I would leave all pictures up on the wall where I originally put them, I wouldn't change them or anything. Well, I changed them. All of the pictures hanging up in the hallway are now sitting on my bed and I put some different things up. A girl has got to change things up once in a while to keep it fresh, right? On a side note, he won't get too crazy mad at me cause he's been gone since Sunday. He got home late last night so we've only seen each other for a total of 2 hours in 6 days. And that's including the 3 different times I went in to visit him at work today. And he missed me. So I really think he'll be able to overlook the million extra nail holes in our walls that he'll have to patch in a few months. But still I may just get the eye (and not the good eye)....

Confidence

I've been thinking about my mouth a lot lately (that's weird, right?) Mainly because I have a wisdom tooth growing in and it hurts like the dickens. Seriously painful... (it has caused my lymph nodes to swell and I have a sore throat; but I won't be going to the dentist) I've always been self conscious about my teeth. I have a lot of spaces and I'm missing a couple of teeth (you can't really tell) and apparently I'm going to be losing one sometime soon. I would hate to have that tooth just fall out right in the middle of a conversation with someone. I grew up with my siblings getting work done; braces, retainers, binator. Have you ever seen a binator? Actually have you ever heard someone talk with a binator in their mouth? Pretty much impossible. So my siblings had all these things done to their mouths and I never had anything done. Sad for me, right? (not really) I also got made fun of (good natured fun) because my mouth kind of resembles a horse when ...
