what a beautiful mess

Here is everyone canning some wheat for FHE last week. Our stake has a canner that we can just reserve for the week. Makes it a whole lot easier than trying to get to the cannery. Trevor is crazy. I took the kids to the zoo last week and we had a blast! The monkeys are always our favorite because they remind us of Joshua. He loves animals and loves birds the most (which I now can't stand after almost being attacked by a bird while out running). The other day after a picnic on the lawn, Stephen threw his half eaten sandwich in the grass away from the eyes of the clean up crew (me). So we were sitting in the front room later that night and we look out the window. A squirrel was sitting in our grass, eating the sandwich just like we would. It was so funny. It was definitley the entertainment in our house that night! Especially since we took the tv out of the house for the month. Here are some pictures of the kids that Trevor took at the Temple a couple of weeks ago. I thought they turned out really nice. Doesn't Stephen have the cutest smile? Joshua did NOT want his picture taken. This is the best one we could get since he was mad and would not even look at us. Emily is looking way too grown up. She is actually going into 2cd grade if you can believe it! Annabelle always takes good pictures. Her hair is finally calming down a bit but it still more often than not looks a little rag-dollish! I love it. They really do get along most of the time. And once in a while we get a sweet picture like this!

It has been so long since I have updated. I have no excuses. I just have put it off and put it off. Well, I cant put it off any longer. I've had too many people ask about it. Plus, I want to update, I really do!!! We have had a great summer so far but that is another post! We just got back from Bear lake this last weekend and had a great time! It was very relaxing. It was so good to see all our family. It had been way too long. We relaxed at the pool, at the lake, on the deck and on the couch. Trevor took the week off of work and it was so nice to have him home/with us. I no longer had to hear the never ending question of "When will Daddy be home?" The kids have more fun with him I think! Annabelle lost her first tooth so she is smiling, trying to show it off. Emily has more wholes in her mouth than teeth! It seems she is losing one all the time. Trevor figured by the time all the kids have lost their teeth, the tooth fairy will have shelled out almost 200 dollars. Dang, i hope these kids dont have any problems that are expensive! i dont think we could afford it!

I am having a hard time uploading pictures so i hope you can deal with two. We have had an awesome last two months. Which is why i have not posted for so long! The kids had spring break so we were able to go and have some fun. We took them to the zoo here in Boise which was surprisingly really good. We had a slumber party in the front room which is always fun. We let them watch a movie and eat popcorn and it makes us cool parents for a night. Who would've guessed! This last weekend was Emilys 7th birthday! My baby is getting sooo big! We had about of her girlfriends over. She says it was the best birthday party. We painted nails, had a treasure hunt, made braclets, and watched a movie and ate popcorn. The evening was very loud! Trevor and I both turned 28 last month. I have noticed a few fine lines around my eyes but they dont bother me too much. Trevor seems to be much more gray- it makes him all the more handsome. PJ will be coming home any day now. Stephen has been obsessed lately with being as big and strong as daddy. He will eat a bite of his food and then walk around the whole table making everyone feel his muscles. He thinks they get bigger every time he takes a bite. The other day he drank all his milk, lifted his shirt and said his tummy was now as big as daddys! Not yet steveo, you have a way to go. He will gag his food down (seriously gag) just so he can grow. I would rather he just stay like he is. He is such a good and sweet boy.

He's such a good kid! He may just be our singer! He has quite a few favorite songs that he sings. If one comes on the radio, he gets an expression of complete surprise and asks you to please turn up the radio. Here are our goofy girls! They have a lot of fun with the camera. Joshuas first beater with yummy frosting all over. Check out that mouth! I was doing laundry the other day and Joshua decided to play peek-a-bo! I thought this was such a cute picture! Needless to say, the clothes were not easy to fold with him crawling all over them. And I am so pleased- we now have our brown eyed baby! His eyes are a beautiful brownish greenish color.
