St. George!!!!

We were finally able to go to St George at the end of August after a long tme of not visiting. We had a lot of fun being able to see our family and spend the time with PJ before he leaves for Iraq. He leaves this sunday. We are really going to miss him and already are anxiously awaiting his return. If you all can keep him in your prayers, it would be really appreaciated.

We did have quite an eventful trip down. We got about to Inkom (a town just about 2 miles out of pocatello) and our vans transmission went out on us. It wasnt really a surprise. When you have older cars or just cars in general, they break down. It is a fact of life that we are learning. So we ended up having to be towed back to town and my good friend Stephanie came and got the kids and I. We all met back at home and could not decide what to do. We really did not want to miss the weekend because it was the only time we could go down to see PJ before he left. Plus my parents did not know PJ was coming home early so it was a surprise we did not want to miss. Amy and Tim had a truck that we were planning on buying before they moved out to Kansas at the beggining of next year but being as kind as they are, they decided to sell it to us now. They have always been a big blessing to us, so willing to help out when it was needed. We have been blessed by having such a good family. So we went ahead and rented a car to get us down to St. George and came home with the truck.

On Saturday we went down to Las Vegas to celebrate Masons 2cd birthday. While Chuck e Cheese was fun, it was even better when Tim brought PJ. The look on my parents face was awesome and well worth all the lying and sneaking we did behind their backs!!! Although truth be told, it was awful having to lie to them. I was a nervous wreck, but it turned out great!!!

The rest of the weekend was great being able to just be together. On monday we went to Cedar City for a picnic before we left for home. It was really hard to say goodbye to PJ but it had to be done.

I hope he knows how proud we are of him and how much we love him and support him.

We got to go visit with trevors family on the way home. I got to have some fun with Chelseys hair. We were trying to decide what to do for her wedding. She is going to look beautiful. Of course she is a haslem girl so that is only to be expected. We are so excited for her and cant wait for the big day.

So all in all, we had a wonderful time in St. George, but it did go to quickly. We did not get to see everyone we wanted but hopefully next time.
