Its that time again!!!!

It is now the season to start making Chewy Ginger Bars!!! They are the best low fat Christmas dessert ever. The Barwicks already have this recipe but for all you who do not, here it is-
 2 cups of flour
2 tsps. of baking powder
 1 tsp. of ginger
1 tsp. of cinnamon
 1/8 tsp of cloves
1/2 cup of butter
1 3/4 cup of brown sugar
2 eggs
1/4 cup molasses ( or sub honey)
 1 tsp of vanilla
 powdered sugar
Grease a 9/13 inch pan. In a bowl combine flour, baking powder, and spices. Set aside. In a saucepan melt butter. Remove from heat and stir in brown sugar. Add eggs one at a time (careful not to cook them!lol). Stiring until combined. Add molasses and vanilla. Gradually add in the flour mixture. Stir only until combined. Spread batter in prepared pan. Bake in a 350 oven for 20 to 25 minutes or until center appears set. The center will sink slightly. Cool in pan on a wire rack. Sift powdered sugar over top. Cut into bars. Or just grab a fork and snack throughout the day!!!

I am so excited for winter. We have already gotten snow three times so far and it puts me in a baking mood. I love my house to smell spicey!!!
