He said what???

It was a lovely Sunday. The children played happily while I browsed the internet (I want to say I was looking at lds.org... but I wasn't) They were chattering with each other and I vaguely listened in the background of my head.
It really was nice until Stephen said a naughty word~ to Emily. My lazy mind picked right up and I whipped my head around. "What did you just say"
"I didn't know it was a bad word"
"Yes you did. Otherwise you wouldn't be starting to cry right now"
I felt just like the mom from that Christmas movie as I marched him right up the stairs and into the bathroom. Thank goodness I still buy bar soap. I stuck it right in his mouth and continued to lecture him about why we don't say those words and how those words hurt Heavenly Fathers feelings. I left the soap in for a full minute and he cried the whole time. And of course Trevor was standing around the corner smiling and smirking. But I was mad!
And Stephen really did feel bad. He had stooped shoulders for the next 15 minutes and a very subdued face. It is so rare for him to be sad or upset.
And now he knows. Next time I think that I'll leave it in for at least 2 mintues though~ just for good measure~

You reminded me of an experience that my nephew had. His daughter had said something that he didn't like; so he picked her up and carried her to the bathroom, where she grabbed the bar of soap, took a huge bite and said " Um, I love this stuff. Thanks for the blog.
