B.O.M Partay!!!

We made a goal a few months ago to read the Book of Mormon all the way through. If we completed it (and we did) then we got a party. So today was the day to celebrate. And what a celebration it was!
We started the day out by cleaning the church. It took us a little longer than usual since it was just us, and the doors were all a little streaky even after they got cleaned but it got done. After we finished we headed up to Rexburg for an airplane show. We watched some planes flying while listening to a really bad M.C. We walked around and saw the exhibits but I think we were all more impressed by this humongous camping chair:
It looks like my dad sitting in a regular sized chair (just kidding dad!)
Oh hey, look! It's the kids smiling and having fun:
After watching the awesome planes and seeing the even awesomer chair.... we ate at Pizza Pie Cafe. We all way overate, like really, really overate. Stephen was worried that he was going to throw up while bowling cause that's where we took the party next! You heard it!! We bowled! And no one threw up!!! Although Josh and Trevor both had to pee 2 times each cause P.P.C. was a buffet on food and drinks! All the soda we wanted! We were in heaven....
Check out our sweet bowling pictures along with scores:

(He wasn't very happy with his score. I mean, I wouldn't be either if I was a man and my 7 and 4 year old beat me.... I'm just sayin')
(ummm, awkward silence)

So then we headed home. And we showered and got ready for church. And it was still early and our party was an ALL DAY PARTY! And we really wanted ice cream. So even though it was sprinkling, we walked up to Cold Stone and got us all some ice cream. I think the winner of the worst combination goes to Joshua who got Cotton Candy ice cream with M&M's mixed in. But he loved it and ate every. last. bite. Even the waffle cone.

Next it was time to officially head home. I still had to bathe Josh cause he can't even step outside without getting dirty. The kids got out their blankets and pillows and are right now, at this very minute camping out here in the front room having a sleep over and watching Night at the Museum.

I'm hoping sleep will come soon cause they stayed up till 10 last night. We had a very late nacho movie night cause we went on what was suppose to be a short walk but I think we went around 10 miles or something like that. Maybe it was just 2 miles but it was our second walk of the day and so it felt longer....

Plus me and him have a movie to watch and it's not kid rated so they have to be asleep....

Congratulations to our children who sat and listened so patiently (or slept~joshua...) We are now going to take the Book of Mormon slow and dissect each chapter and learn lots and lots of stuff. It may be another year or two before we have an all day party again but that's okay...We'll just have to come up with a new excuse to do a party.

You were in Rexburg??? So was I! We almost ate at Craigos too! We would have seen you, whaaaa! I wondered why there were so many planes and helicopters flying around, lol! I'm a quick one :) Last time we went bowling I bowled an 82. You and I should have a bowl off... lol!
Congrats!!! Sounds like a well deserved day!
Sarah, don't feel bad about your score...I'm usually right there with you, however on occasion I have a freak bowling session where I get like 5 or 6 strikes, but then I'm back down to like the 60-80's. Congrats on reading the BOM, you certainly deserved an all day party!

Congrats on your accomplishment Haslem family! We've been reading since the beginning of the year and are only to Enos...maybe once my kids attention spans last longer than 3 seconds, we can get through it too! Can't wait to hear about your NEXT all day party!
