You would think that this blog post is about that cute little boy laying there sleeping... but it's not. See my new loveseat? I know "new" is a relative term, especially since the last time it was accuratley called "new" was in 1973, but I just got it on Saturday, so it's new to me! And I love it! It's like a loveseat/rocking chair. How great is that? Plus it was only 35 dollars~ a steal! I know it is bright orange but just imagine it with a pretty green fabric~ something like these... not exactly what I would pick but you get the idea!
ok so my famiy has that exact rocking loveseat. it rocks right? the fabric is different but man out family loves that thing! so fun. I totally scored a vintage vanity, has one leg that cam off and so easy to put back together. it was going to the DUMP! my neighbor had it hucked in the back of his truck and I asked him about it and rescued it :) can't wait to fix it up!
We have just received news that earlier today my sister Amy and her family have been in a car accident. Tim and the five kids are okay, although banged up, but Amy is in the ICU. They hit hail while driving and the car rolled 3 times and Amy was ejected from the car. All we know so far is that she has broken ribs and punctured lungs. Please, please please pray for her and her family. Thank you.
Lately, Carl is the only one who gets naps. (unless it's Sunday...then Trevor and I both demand one) If I was a big, hairy dog, I would expect naps everyday also and would just lay down where ever I wanted to (even it it was in everyone's way). You can just catch a glimpse of my moccasins. And trust me they.are.cute. I love madewell . My new favorite singer this week? Cat Stevens. It took me watching the movie Harold and Maude to really listen to his music. Wow. And hey, I'm not going to be shy. I'm going to sing out to the wild world that I love his songs. (if you also like Cat Stevens, then you'll understand the previous sentence...)
Our dinner tonight was filled with little tid-bits of new knowledge for our kids. It started with me quoting a saying my mom used to say "Tough titty said the kitty when the milk ran dry." I've said it for years to my kids and tonight was the first time they ever asked what a "titty" was. Trevor taught the kids "tallywacker" and "willywang" (I think that was what the last one was...I'm no good at remembering the technical names) We told a few riddles and then chased each other around the house trying to put underwear on each others heads. It's times like these that make me remember my own childhood and how much fun we used to have together...Thanks Mom and Dad!
