It's the Cheesiest!

I am a generic-brand buyer.
I have been since the first time Trevor and I went shopping together as a married couple and he wouldn't let me buy Campbell's soup. I was shocked. I didn't even realize there were other brands than the "name" brands.
Every time I go to the store and take Stephen with me, we inevitably go down the pasta aisle. Every time as I go down to pick up my "Hy-Top Mac n' Cheese" (or Great Value) I hear
"Mom, can we get The Cheesiest?" And most times I say no.
And always I hear "Why not?" (with a bit of a whiny voice)
So today at the store I asked myself "why not?". Generic is really only .20 cents cheaper. Seriously. What else will I do with that twenty cents? So today I got him the best Macaroni and Cheese ever made.
I scooped him and Joshua up double scoops.... and proceeded to eat the rest myself.
Because, really, it is soooo much better!

Might I warn you to STAY AWAY FAR FAR FAR AWAY from the Kroger brand...it is so gross! We were trying to save a few bucks and ended up getting a mac and cheese that we took about 3 bites and threw the rest away.

My absolute favorite is the thick and creamy great value brand. It's the only kind of mac n' cheese I'll eat...sometimes name brands are totally worth the extra money!

Lately, Carl is the only one who gets naps. (unless it's Sunday...then Trevor and I both demand one) If I was a big, hairy dog, I would expect naps everyday also and would just lay down where ever I wanted to (even it it was in everyone's way). You can just catch a glimpse of my moccasins. And trust me they.are.cute. I love  madewell . My new favorite singer this week? Cat Stevens. Prayers

We have just received news that earlier today my sister Amy and her family have been in a car accident. Tim and the five kids are okay, although banged up, but Amy is in the ICU. They hit hail while driving and the car rolled 3 times and Amy was ejected from the car. All we know so far is that she has broken ribs and  punctured lungs. Please, please please pray for her and her family. Thank you.

Ralph the dog.

Morning at my house is so bright and lovely~that is, as long as it's not snowing or preparing to snow. I made Annabelle open the curtains first thing this morning. When my mornings start out like this, warm and bright, it just makes me happy. Today Joshua decided to be a dog. A dog named Ralph. And Ralph loves raspberry sherbet. Ralph got really tired and is now resting while watching Shrek 2. Not my favorite movie but whatever... I think I misspoke yesterday when I wrote that I/we had big decisions to make. There's nothing out of the ordinary except for, you know, the usual. And the fact that we found out yesterday that both girls need braces; Emily now or at least soon and Annabelle in a year or so. And Stephen has possibly two developing cavities. At this moment in time, I am very, extremely, incredibly grateful for dental insurance. That may not be the case in a few months but I'm not thinking about that...and I'm trying to no...
