The Giver

Best book I have read in a while now. I never had to read it in High School and I'm kind of glad. I don't think I would've appreciated it then.
You should read it if you haven't.
I think my next book should be The Hunger Games. Trevor read it and loved it and so has every other person in the world! Or should I say Ward??? :)

Everyone that I have recommended The Hunger Games series to has yet to tell me they didn't like it. SO... I agree, this should be your next selection for reading material. :o)

GO READ IT! It's the best book I've read in a really long time. Even Chris liked it & he doesn't like to read much.

Funny-I JUST finished reading The Giver, last week. Jaden (my 5th grader) picked it out. His class had to pick a Newbery Award book to read for a class assignment, and he chose The Giver. I decided to read it as well.
He hated the ending! He wanted Jonas to take the Giver, Fiona, and Asher with him as well.
I asked him why and he said The Giver, to have an adult with knowledge with him, Fiona for his wife, and Asher for a friend. He said they could all raise baby Gabe together, and start a new life.
Very insightful for a ten year old! I am getting the new Kindle today and have already downloaded the Hunger Games onto it for when it arrives~I can't wait!
Good luck on the first day of school! As far as the clean house, warm folded laundry, and dinner on the table~I thought that's how it would be here-but I still have SO many things going on that life is still as chaotic as ever!
