~Just what I needed to hear today~
Just some quotes I've found on Pinterest, my new favorite place to waste time on the internet...
"Never sacrifice who you are just because someone has a problem with it."
"Your soul is rooting for you."
"Be kind for everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle."
"Welcome to today. Another day. Another chance. Feel free to change."
"Why let people who add so little to you, subtract so much from you?"
"Your day will go the way the corners of your mouth go."
"Never confuse education with intelligence."
"Pretending to be someone you're not is exhausting. Save your energy for people who accept you as you are."
"The best thing in life is finding someone who knows all your mistakes and weaknesses and still thinks you're completely amazing."
"Today I am excited about everything."
And my favorite:
"Whenever I get sad, I stop being sad and start being awesome."
Tonight I turned on Maroon 5 and noticed Josh singing along. Probably not the most appropriate music for my 4 year old to be singing but it was still so cute so I took a picture:
Stephen made a cake and frosted it all by himself! Except that we made it last week and just frosted it today. He cut us all an extra large piece:
And because blogger wasn't working very well last night, you get more hiking pictures tonight!
I know....yay for hiking pictures!!!
While out hiking, we got creative and made a shadow octopus:
And we all forgot Joshy was a big boy and babied him a lot on the hike.
But it made for a couple of good photos.
I feel the need to explain that I did not baby him. In fact, I have very little patience for people/kids who can't keep up the pace and get tired and cry and whine the whole way back.
But that's just me and I'm certainly not proud of it.
Trevor always tempers me on hikes and is much more patient than I am. He say's it's cause he understands what they're going through.....Huh...he is definitely my better half.
And right now that half of me is at the temple helping to clean it.
So I'm going to watch a couple of Friends episodes (thinking of you Chelsey!) and wait for him to come home.
Cause home is so much better with him in it....
Oh and I wrote this on my bathroom mirror today. I think it's a great reminder for us all (especially impressionable little girls!).
Good night....
