A new challenge. Or two.

I love challenges! And I'm in the mood for a new one.

Our grocery budget isn't very high...250 dollars every two weeks for 6 people. No, not much at all. But I'm cutting myself back to a hundred dollars a week. That includes shampoos and t.p. and all the different soaps we use. I went shopping two weeks ago and spent 300 dollars~ it was shocking. I don't think I've ever spent that much before.

SO do you think I can do it? I'm taking out cash and I'm going to see what kind of magic I can do.

I'll let you know how it goes.

If I can't do it, I will feel like a total and complete loser.

Not really.

But I'm going to try my darndest.

So what are the stores on my list, you ask? Broulims and Albertsons. Possibly the two most expensive stores in Idaho. I miss having a Winco close by.

And we started another new challenge which I hadn't thought of as a challenge until now, but it most definitely is.

The kids have each picked a meal they want to make and each of them have a night next week to make it.

We'll be having spaghetti and meatballs (josh), split pea soup and rolls (anna), pepperoni and cheese pizza (stephen), and chicken strips and corn (emily).

Definitely a challenge.

And guess what?

Josh never got a haircut.

Wow Sarah! I'm thoroughly impressed that you can shop for 6 people on only $250. Can't wait to see how this challenge goes for you...if it does, please share your secret. My grocery budget is out of control!

I would love to know how you do it! Please keep us posted! If I could pull of $250 every other week for 5 people...that would be great! Do you coupon?

Josh's hair is cute not cut!

I am building a dollar store here in Pahrump. Never having been in before I was totally surprised at the prices of some of the items. Mostly cleaning products. Which seem to be the expensive part.
