what a beautiful mess

Last Saturday night, we went to the Sawyer Brown concert and  it was as good as when I saw him 16 years ago.  That makes me feel so old.  Before Sawyer, Starship was on (yeah we didn't know who the heck they were either)  but they started to play "our" song which isn't really "our" song it's just the "sarah" song that we've only known one line to for the past 14 years and have sung about a million times.  That was pretty exciting.  And now we can sing the whole chorus.  Yesterday Trevor texted me a picture of some drinks he bought us  to enjoy while we watched some t.v. (non-alcoholic. However not non-caffeinated)  and he requested some cake to go with them.  So Stephen and I made a cake.  But instead of eating the cake while we watched t.v.,we ate it with some friends for dessert...which was pretty awesome too.  Stephen makes a really great tasting cake.  Tonight Trevor and I finally...

Stephen hates it when me and Trevor kiss.  At least he says he hates it but he's smiling while he says it.  It reminds me of when I was little... I whined and complained while my parents kissed but secretly I really liked it when they did.  Although I think I'd be grossed out to see them kiss now like they did then. (Sorry mom and dad- it's my grown up self's perspective)  But it's really fun to gross Stephen out.  So Trevor and I kiss a lot and very loudly just to gross him out even more.  (And play mind numbing games together on the kindle once in awhile)

That's what the den looks like right this minute and I couldn't care less.  I just want to sit and listen to music and type on the computer  while I wait for Trevor to get out of the shower.  And we have been listening to music all day.  Emily and I love the Imagine Dragons c.d. especially.  There are so many good songs on it.  My favorites are Bleeding Out and Hear Me.  Stephen and I were listening to the Killers earlier and he asked me: "If you and Dad ever go to a Killers concert and have an extra ticket, who would you take?" I knew he wanted me to say him and so of course he is exactly who I would take.  Mostly because he's so great but also because he shares my love for the Killers music.  We sing along together any time we listen to them.  Stephen bought an Etch A Sketch the other day and is having a ton of fun with it.  So is Trevor since the above is Trevor's very own artwork.  Stephen i...

On Saturday we hiked 8 of the 12 mile hike to Table Rock.  It was absolutely gorgeous.  The following is a time line of our hike in pictures:  This is soon after we started, stopping to fill our mouths with sunflower seeds.  It seems I can't get a normal picture out of these girls any more...  We took another break at the beautiful waterfall and got a little wet.   The boys conquered this (very small) mountain and it was prime time for a picture.   Everyone took an extra long break at mile 4. We were pretty tired and it was around 3:30  so we had to turn around in order to not get stuck hiking in the dark.   I was amazed at how awesome the boys did!  Stephen begged me for us to keep going while everyone else waited.
