at the end of the day....

Image
I have to say that this is NOT typical, less someone actually thinks I let my kid go dirty all day..... But he was a busy, hungry boy and I didn't want to dirty another shirt. I hate laundry. And there he is right after his bath looking so clean and kissable!

Just another day......

Image
He started the day out clean enough but by 2:00, cleanliness was a page in another book!!!! Doesn't he look like Trevor when he's sleeping? What a sweet, precious, mischevious little boy.!

Happy Birthday Stephen!

Stephen is growing up....... yes, I am crying. Time is going by way too fast. It seems like yesterday that he was a little cowboy for halloween and was the one the girls liked to baby! Stephen has been a complete joy. Not another word for it. He brings so much happiness to our family. I just could not imagine life without him.. There are lots to list that we love about Stephen but I will just list a few. I love his "natural coolness". He has this way about him that is just cool and he did not get that from either of his parents. He likes to watch himself in the car when we are driving. He puts the mirror down and when he thinks that I am not watching, he checks himself out. He props his feet up outside the car window, wearing his sunglasses and watching the cars drive by. Stephen reminds us to do the things we should be doing, like saying a prayer when something is wrong. He has an awesome smile that is a combination of grandpa barwicks front teeth and and daddys big...

READ THIS BOOK!!!

Image
This is a great, great book. Of course anyone that knows me well, knows how much I loved The Proper Care and Feeding of Husbands so there should be no surprise that I love this one also. I am about halfway through it, but since reading it, I have been inspired to be not only a better mother but a better wife also. I feel more of a need to have personal hobbies and to teach my children everything I know. Im more inclined to stop whatever I am doing and just listen to Stephen tell me something or to help with homework instead of saying "just a minute!" So I suggest reading it and not hurrying through it. Enjoy it! (sorry this isnt an update on children... that will be coming sometime in the near future:) ! )

Are you surprised?

Yes we are still blogging. Kind of. I forget about it and get busy and never update. I dont even know if anyone still checks this out but Im going to update anyways. Life is going great for us. We have been in our house for about a month now. We have finally painted. i was adament that we painted a different color than what we had in pocatello, but the more I look at it, I realize that its the same color just lighter. Oh well. I love it anyway. The girls love their new school. they have awesome teachers and are making some really great friends. Stephen is doing great at what he does. Hmm. that sounds weird but its true. Anything he loves, that is what he does. Nw he is a golfer. He wants to go to Golf Galaxy for his birhtday party. I have not told him yet that it is just a golf store. I hate to dash his dreams! Joshua follows Stephen around everywhere. Everything Stephen does, joshy does also. We tell stephen that he has to be a good example for Joshua and i really dont think josh...

The kids were all excited to see Santa this year. Well, besides Josh! At least Trevor is smiling, right? And, yes, Trevor did construct stephens house. That is why it is still standing! I helped with Annas and realized that I have no gingerbread house talent. Doesn't Joshua look like that kid from A Christmas story? Life happens even when I dont update my blog! We had a great holiday season. Thanksgiving was wonderful in St. George. It was so good to see family! Christmas was great here in Boise. The kids had a fun day with their new "stuff" but I think their favorite was getting pajamas. Kind of weird, right? We, of course, missed all our family and friends and hope that you all had a great Holiday! We are now in the process of buying a house now that our lease is up. Our closing date is on Feb. 5th. The house is in Meridian which means our kids will have to switch schools but they want to so thats good. We are all excited, Trevor more so than I. I just remember a...
