While reading a friends blog post about her daughter getting baptized, I remembered that I never posted about Emilys Baptism! Then I remembered that I never posted one about Candices wedding.... Candice got married on April 11th- Emilys birthday!! It was so awesome to get to be there to see the wedding. She and Quinn got married in the St. George temple. They had an open house the night before the wedding in my parents backyard... serving nothing else but cheesecake and hot dogs! It was so fun and casual... They had music playing the whole time and a fire in the fire pit. It was such a happy day! While they were at our house for the baptism , Candice found out that shes pregnant!!! It was soooooo great!!!! Emily got baptized in May. We had so many family travel so far to be able to be here for it. It helped to show Emily how special and important it is to be baptized. We were so grateful for everyone that came up. It was a little surreal to see our oldest child be baptized. It wa...

So young and so sure, they hold their dreams in their eyes. Free and happy, secure and content. Twirling and laughing, crying and dancing, not a worry in their life. Stepping out in the world, never alone. Father in Heaven and parents at home. Holding tight to each other, growing up in each others light. They share their dreams and their fears, And calm each others minds. Through the good, the bad, and all in between sisters forever, friends till the end. ~ author unknown

Here are some random pictures of what has been happening this month! Stephen had his 5th birthday. He is getting to be such a big kid... He starts kindergarten in the fall. Im going to miss him a lot! He is such a big helper! We went and visited a state park for memorial day and had a ton of fun! Trevor is using his sling shot to try to make rocks go all the way across a gorge we visited. (he was actually trying to hit birds). There are a couple of cute pictures of the girls just to show how BIG they are getting! Today is their last day of school and I am SOOOO excited!! We have so many fun things planned. Camping with friends, going to PJ and Mckennas wedding (so so excited for that!), going to water parks , swimming and the library just to name a few! The girls want to start doing yoga with me so that will be great! It will be nice to have some company- plus it will be fun to see them try to do some of the poses! We have a ton of hiking to do around Boise, so Im going to ...

at the end of the day....

I have to say that this is NOT typical, less someone actually thinks I let my kid go dirty all day..... But he was a busy, hungry boy and I didn't want to dirty another shirt. I hate laundry. And there he is right after his bath looking so clean and kissable!

Just another day......

He started the day out clean enough but by 2:00, cleanliness was a page in another book!!!! Doesn't he look like Trevor when he's sleeping? What a sweet, precious, mischevious little boy.!

Happy Birthday Stephen!

Stephen is growing up....... yes, I am crying. Time is going by way too fast. It seems like yesterday that he was a little cowboy for halloween and was the one the girls liked to baby! Stephen has been a complete joy. Not another word for it. He brings so much happiness to our family. I just could not imagine life without him.. There are lots to list that we love about Stephen but I will just list a few. I love his "natural coolness". He has this way about him that is just cool and he did not get that from either of his parents. He likes to watch himself in the car when we are driving. He puts the mirror down and when he thinks that I am not watching, he checks himself out. He props his feet up outside the car window, wearing his sunglasses and watching the cars drive by. Stephen reminds us to do the things we should be doing, like saying a prayer when something is wrong. He has an awesome smile that is a combination of grandpa barwicks front teeth and and daddys big...

READ THIS BOOK!!!

Image
This is a great, great book. Of course anyone that knows me well, knows how much I loved The Proper Care and Feeding of Husbands so there should be no surprise that I love this one also. I am about halfway through it, but since reading it, I have been inspired to be not only a better mother but a better wife also. I feel more of a need to have personal hobbies and to teach my children everything I know. Im more inclined to stop whatever I am doing and just listen to Stephen tell me something or to help with homework instead of saying "just a minute!" So I suggest reading it and not hurrying through it. Enjoy it! (sorry this isnt an update on children... that will be coming sometime in the near future:) ! )
