what a beautiful mess

Today is my sister Jessicas 30th birthday!!! (she is the one on the far left) Happy Birthday Jessica! We miss you and your family so much and are hoping and praying that we get to see you on Thanksgiving. I cant believe you are starting the fourth decade of your life. Sometimes it feels like just yesterday you were spitting over the side of the bed and sucking it back up. That was really gross. The best part about you though is how kind you are and how patient you are. You are such a good mother and sister! We miss you and love you and wish we could see you, especially on your birthday. Have a great day! Also celebrating a birthday today is Stacie, my sister in law. She is such a fun and selfless person. If you ever say you like something of hers, say her toaster, she will give it to you. Just like that. Im not sure but I think she is finally 18 today. Yea Stacie! I think I am going to see how many posts I can use the world "update" in the title. But that is what this is. An update. I got a new calling on Sunday as the first counselor in the Young Womens. I love serving in the YWs so I am very excited. Our ward only has about 4 or 5 active girls and only 10 girls total. Trevor is usually doing church stuff every other day of the week except Wednesday night which is mutual so it works out well. Okay, not every other day of the week but a lot! Annabelle is doing awesome in gymnastics. They just moved her up a level last week after only a month in the previous class. It is a good way for her to use up all her energy. Its about time I give a little update on us since we are not very good at calling everyone. This is my very handsome baby- look at how his eyes match the brown stripes in his shirt! He is so fun and just plain adorable! He has a little playmate, Abby, who he loves completely but also completley loves to bother her. Abby comes to our house 2 days a week and she is so cute and sweet- a little Angel, as her mother calls her! Joshua has a lot of fun with her but she doesnt always have so much with him! Stephen decided he wanted to shave his face like Daddy so i had to get some pictures of it! He loves Trevor. Just recently he has started to want to do everything that Trevor does.He is always asking questions about him, he follows him around, and says the daddy is the best best bestest best daddy in the world. Here is everyone canning some wheat for FHE last week. Our stake has a canner that we can just reserve for the week. Makes it a whole lot easier than trying to get to the cannery. Trevor is crazy. I took the kids to the zoo last week and we had a blast! The monkeys are always our favorite because they remind us of Joshua. He loves animals and loves birds the most (which I now can't stand after almost being attacked by a bird while out running). The other day after a picnic on the lawn, Stephen threw his half eaten sandwich in the grass away from the eyes of the clean up crew (me). So we were sitting in the front room later that night and we look out the window. A squirrel was sitting in our grass, eating the sandwich just like we would. It was so funny. It was definitley the entertainment in our house that night! Especially since we took the tv out of the house for the month. Here are some pictures of the kids that Trevor took at the Temple a couple of weeks ago. I thought they turned out really nice. Doesn't Stephen have the cutest smile? Joshua did NOT want his picture taken. This is the best one we could get since he was mad and would not even look at us. Emily is looking way too grown up. She is actually going into 2cd grade if you can believe it! Annabelle always takes good pictures. Her hair is finally calming down a bit but it still more often than not looks a little rag-dollish! I love it. They really do get along most of the time. And once in a while we get a sweet picture like this!

It has been so long since I have updated. I have no excuses. I just have put it off and put it off. Well, I cant put it off any longer. I've had too many people ask about it. Plus, I want to update, I really do!!! We have had a great summer so far but that is another post! We just got back from Bear lake this last weekend and had a great time! It was very relaxing. It was so good to see all our family. It had been way too long. We relaxed at the pool, at the lake, on the deck and on the couch. Trevor took the week off of work and it was so nice to have him home/with us. I no longer had to hear the never ending question of "When will Daddy be home?" The kids have more fun with him I think! Annabelle lost her first tooth so she is smiling, trying to show it off. Emily has more wholes in her mouth than teeth! It seems she is losing one all the time. Trevor figured by the time all the kids have lost their teeth, the tooth fairy will have shelled out almost 200 dollars. Dang, i hope these kids dont have any problems that are expensive! i dont think we could afford it!
